Windows 10 Mobile Sign In To Apps

Windows 10 mobile will there are two main account types you can set up on your phone a Microsoft  account and a work or school account as you probably know a Microsoft account is a personal account that lets you access many of Microsoft consumer-facing services like outlook calm and one drive you can set up one or multiple markers of the counts on your phone the work or school account is an account provided for you by your company or school the account is managed in the azure active directory or an ad which is a cloud-based directory service in the Microsoft azure cloud an ad is similar to the active directory or ad that is typically found in a company or school on premises network one of the main reasons for setting up an ad account on your phone is for accessing office 365 business services Microsoft account you can only configure one an ad account to the phone settings many apps in windows 10 mobile support the use of multiple accounts, for example, you can set up multiple email accounts in the outlook mail app or multiple storage accounts in the one drive up in these apps you can even use multiple Microsoft accounts in apps like outlook mail or one drive you can use account at any specific time you can choose from the app settings which of the configured accounts you want to use the way in outlook mail you can switch between using your work inbox and your personal inbox and in the one app you can switch between using your work cloud storage and your personal cloud storage so here we have as an example outlook mail right now viewing work.

Email inbox so account to change the account open the app menu and from here we can see that have three different accounts set up on the app one work account and to Microsoft accounts now you can choose another account to use select the second Microsoft account and now you can view and use personal email inbox the office mobile apps work a bit differently than the example we saw with outlook mail in the office mobile apps you can set up one Microsoft account and one work or school account also the way you those accounts works a bit differently in office mobile apps compared to let's say the outlook mail app you do not choose between using the Microsoft account or the work account once both have been configured then they are usable simultaneously so here have word mobile and when the account from the top right corner can see the accounts that word mobile is using these accounts determine what features are available for in this app and where can save document what you can do with the office mobile apps on your phone with different accounts when you don't have any account set up than the office mobile apps work in read-only mode you cannot create new documents or edit existing documents.

Sign in with a Microsoft account then you can create and edit documents however there are still some extra features in the apps that you cannot use they remain locked in order to create and edit documents and use these extra features you need to be signed in with an account that has a valid office 365 many people associate office 365 with azure ad so that an office 365 plan is the same thing as having an ad account office 365 is not the whole truth office to specific services it is not an identity management service like a username and a password in itself instead the office certain identity works is that office 365 business plans are to an azure ad identity but office 365 personal plans are microsoft account means the that depending on plan used you can set up office 365 to your phone and to the office mobile apps either by signing in with a microsoft account or by signing in with a work or school account another thing that is determined the account you use is cloud storage locations the office mobile apps integrate with one drive for saving and sharing files when you sign in with a microsoft account then you cna save documents to yout one dive cloud storage when you sign in with a work or school account that is linked to a valid office 365 business plan then you can also save documents to your one drive foe business cloud storage let's take at a short demonstration on signing into the office mobile apps we are currently.

The settings menu now if go to account and then select the account option you can see that don't yet have any account set up on phone let's go back to the strate screen launch your word mobile for the first time on phone after seeing this short tutorial the sign in screen and as you can see here have three options available can sign in with our microsoft account a work or school account or can skip the sign in process the sign in for now using word but as it says on the screen in reading only mode the template here and you can see that get the notification create new documents so all next follow these instructions to get the account set up the first account setting up on phone and there are a few additional security steps.

The account set up has been completed account here in the word app the one drive cloud storage that is linked to microsoft account create a document again create an edit word documents one the forum settings to the accounts page now the microsoft account added to word mobile is also shown here so the account has been to the forum settings the has soe other consequences as well because noe other services that use the account are also available we already saw that one drive linked to microsoft acccountwas available and here you can see outlook email account has also been configured the email service linked to microsoft account.
